    Sitting on the Chaophaya River, Bangkok is an exhilarating mix of gold-spired temples, space-age high-rises, grand palaces and floating markets. Soak up its key landmarks on today’s sightseeing tour. Visit the celebrated Grand Palace, the residence of Siamese kings and seat of power for 150 years, and view its lavish Coronation Hall, marbled Ananta Samakhom Throne Hall and stunning Temple of the Emerald Buddha. This majestic shrine is the spiritual heart of Thailand and houses a miniature jade Buddha dating to the 14th century. Later, visit a gems gallery to peruse Thailand’s prized precious stones.

  • Day : 4 Bangkok

    Make an early start this morning and travel north of Bangkok to visit the fascinating Damnoen Saduak Floating Market. Aboard a long-tail boat, sail through a mass of market boats crammed with fresh produce, flowers and trinkets, and with their vendors ready at the helm to make their sales. Back in Bangkok, take your seat at the award-winning Sal Rim Naam Restaurant at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel for a mouth-watering buffet lunch; feasting on acclaimed Thai favorites and seasonal specialties. Afterwards, spend the rest of the day at leisure, perhaps shopping for souvenirs, sightseeing or relaxing at your hotel.

  • Day : 5 Bangkok - Ayutthaya - Bangkok

    Today, enjoy a full-day visit to Ayutthaya, the country’s second capital and world’s largest city until 1767, when it was captured by the Burmese. See the atmospheric temple compounds, statues and courtyards that once rang with colour, noise and life. En route to Ayutthaya, visit the beautiful Bang Pa-In Summer Palace, an ornamental collection of temples and buildings that includes an exquisite floating pavilion. Next, enjoy a cruise back to Bangkok on a Grand Pearl liner, drifting along the scenic Chaophaya and enjoying a lunch buffet on board.

    Today is at leisure for you to explore Bangkok in your own way. Shop for keepsakes, enjoy some of the many markets, food stalls and restaurants, or just relax at your hotel.

  • Day : 7 Bangkok - Chiang Rai

    Transfer to the airport today to catch your flight to Chiang Rai. On arrival, transfer to your hotel for a night. This evening, enjoy a welcome dinner at your hotel.

  • Day : 8 Chiang Rai - Chiang Mai

    Enjoy the large part of the day to soak up this idyllic region of lush mountains and hill tribe villages. Travel to Chiang Saen, the former capital of the old Lanna Kingdom. Visit the famous Golden Triangle, where the Mekong River joins the borders of Thailand, Laos and Myanmar. After lunch at a local restaurant, visit a border town and return to your hotel before driving through scenic hills and villages to Chiang Mai.

  • Day : 9 Chiang Mai

    Visit Elephant Camp to see how these magnificent animals are trained to haul lumber. Enjoy an elephant ride through the forest and across streams before riding on an ox cart past paddy fields and farms. After an exciting bamboo raft ride along the Mae Tang River, enjoy lunch at a local restaurant and then travel into the hills to meet the Palong, Padong and Karen tribes. Meet these friendly peoples, admire their detailed handicrafts and even try on the traditional neck rings worn by the ‘long-necked’ Karen. This evening, enjoy a Khantoke dinner and an authentic tribal show.

  • Day : 10 Chiang Mai

    Today, head for one of Chiang Mai’s holiest shrines, the Buddhist temple of Wat Doi Suthep. Perched atop Doi Suthep mountain, this magical shrine was established in the 14th century and houses a sacred Buddhist relic. This afternoon is free for you to spend as you wish, before dinner at your hotel this evening.

  • Day : 11 Chiang Mai - Siem Reap

    Today, transfer to the airport to fly to Siem Reap, the gateway to Cambodia’s majestic Angkor temples. On arrival, meet your guide and transfer to your hotel for two nights.

  • Day : 12 Sieam Reap - Angkor

    Today, marvel at the ancient wonder that is Angkor. This breathtaking complex represents the world’s greatest concentration of architectural treasures and is dominated by the immense 12th-century temple of Angkor Wat. Stroll around its age-old buildings, shrines and terraces that took 37 years to construct and then, head for the fortified city of Angkor Thom, once ringed by five gates and a moat. See the Bayon temple, Baphuon, Terrace of Elephants and Terrace of the Leper King, and finish your visit by watching a dramatic sunset from atop an ancient temple.

  • Day : 13 Siem Reap - Bangkok

    Visit Ta Prohm, a temple overgrown by the jungle since its discovery in the 19th century, making it seem extra magical. Continue to Chau Say Tevoda and drop into the Les Chantiers Ecole, a handicrafts and vocational centre teaching traditional Khmer crafts to local people, such as silk-weaving, woodcarving and stone sculpture. After lunch, transfer to the airport and fly back to Bangko. Met by your local guide and transfer to hotel .
