    Boarding your international flight to London, you begin your journey to the Old World.

  • Day : 2 Arrive in London

    As you touch down in London, soak up the grandeur of this world-leading metropolis and largest city in the European Union. Meet your Ritz Tours representative at the airport and enjoy a convenient transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free to spend at leisure.

  • Day : 3 London

    After breakfast, start your tour program at Her Majesty’s Royal Palace and Fortress, the Tower of London*. Conjure up its storied history as you delve into its haunting chambers and turrets. Two of Henry VIII’s six wives were beheaded here – Anne Boleyn and Catherine Howard – adding to its bloody history. Finish with a viewing of the dazzling Crown Jewels, whose crowns, staffs and orbs are invested with the monarch’s power. Next, board your coach for a memorable sightseeing tour, taking in landmarks such as Big Ben, Parliament and Trafalgar Square and stopping for photos at Buckingham Palace and Westminster Abbey. After a Traditional English Lunch*, enjoy the rest of the day at leisure to explore this history-steeped city. Or, elect to take our optional excursion to Windsor Castle to see this fortified royal palace, first built in the 11th century for William the Conqueror. This evening, perhaps join us on an optional cruise along the River Thames to relish London in its nighttime splendor.

  • Day : 4 London - Paris, France

    Today, take the high-speed railway, Eurostar, to Paris. Feel your heart race as you arrive in the “City of Lights,” whose iconic landmarks inspire a true sense of awe. Upon arrival, explore at your own pace, perhaps relaxing at a café or sauntering along the tree-lined boulevards. Later this afternoon, enjoy a romantic River Seine Cruise, passing monuments such as Notre Dame Cathedral. This evening, top off your day with a delicious French Cuisine Dinner.

  • Day : 5 Paris

    This morning, your time is devoted to the incomparable Louvre Museum, home to the world’s greatest art collection. Be blown away by Leonardo da Vinci’s exquisite Mona Lisa and the ethereal Venus de Milo as you explore the museum’s displays. With everything from Greco-Roman artworks to Near-Eastern pieces, it’s an art-lover’s paradise. Next, enjoy a panoramic drive around famous Paris landmarks. See the magnificent Opera House, Place de la Concord and majestic Champs-Élysées, crowned by the Arc de Triomphe. Continue to the Eiffel Tower to savor the sweeping panoramas from its second floor. This afternoon, enjoy free time to delve further into this beautiful city or select our optional excursion to the Palace of Versailles, the spectacular chateau that was home to French monarchs until the French Revolution in 1789.

  • Day : 6 Paris - Lucerne, Switzerland

    Say farewell to Paris this morning and travel southeast to Lucerne in Switzerland. Nestled between beautiful Lake Lucerne and snow-capped mountains, this photogenic city more than lives up to Switzerland’s age-old moniker of “the playground of Europe.” If time allows, enjoy a short tour to admire Lucerne’s picture-postcard wooden Chapel Bridge. Built over the city’s Reuss River in 1333, this pretty crossing is commonly understood to be Europe’s oldest covered bridge and looks as if it’s dropped from a picturebook. Admire the bridge and the shores of Lake Lucerne before heading to the city’s Lion Monument. Carved in memory of the Swiss soldiers who died defending the French king, Louis XVI, during the French Revolution in 1792, this cliff-face sculpture of a dying lion was described by US author Mark Twain as the “saddest and most moving piece of rock in the world.” After dinner this evening, perhaps take a leisurely walk around the city center or enjoy the amenities at your hotel.

  • Day : 7 Lucerne - Milan, Italy

    This morning, venture out to see Lucerne’s Chapel Bridge and Lion Monument if time didn't allow visits yesterday. Afterward, hop aboard the world’s steepest rack railway (or cable car, depending on the season and weather) up to the summit of Mt. Pilatus. On a clear day, this 6,953-foot mountain commands astonishing views over 73 surrounding peaks — don’t forget your camera! Later, travel south to Milan, Italy’s second-largest city and the “fashion capital of the world.” During the period of the World EXPO from 1st May to 31st Oct 2015, the hotel might be substituted with other hotel in different city

See mighty Milan Cathedral and the fabled La Scala Opera House, fronted by a statue of Leonardo da Vinci. Continue to Verona, the fictional setting for Shakespeare’s play, Romeo and Juliet. Explore its highlights with your guide, paying special attention to its shrine to the classic love story, Juliet’s House. Depart Verona for an overnight stay in the provincial town of Padova.

  • Day : 9 Venice - Montecatini

    Today is devoted to romantic Venice, which for centuries spearheaded the trade between Europe and the Orient. Begin your tour at the delightful Venetian island of Murano, the center of the city’s glassware production. Next, visit St. Mark’s Square and St. Mark’s Basilica in the heart of the city. Mixing Gothic, Byzantine, Romanesque and Renaissance architecture and laden with mosaics, gold and marble, the Basilica makes an awe-inspiring impression. Lastly, imagine the laments of prisoners on the ornate Bridge of Sighs as they were marched to the terrifying torture chambers of the Doge’s Palace. Finally, perhaps take an optional gondola ride along the Grand Canal. Leave Venice this afternoon to stay overnight in the handsome spa town of Montecatini.

    Travel west from Montecatini to Pisa to behold the lopsided Leaning Tower of Pisa. Next comes the turn of Tuscany’s stunning capital, Florence. Home to countless Renaissance luminaries including Dante and Galileo, this wondrous city is the birthplace of the Renaissance. Enjoy a walking tour of its signature sights, including the sumptuous Duomo, Baptistry, Signoria Square and St. Croce Basilica. Later, visit the Accademia Gallery to see the masterpiece that is Michelangelo’s David! When your tour concludes, depart for Rome.

    This morning, enter the “Eternal City”, the UNESCO World Heritage site of Rome. Start your tour at the glorious Papal Residence, the Vatican City: the spiritual center of the world’s 1.2 billion Roman Catholics. Stroll awesome St. Peter’s Basilica and Square, visit the Vatican Museum to marvel at the extraordinary Michelangelo fresco of the Sistine Chapel and see the breathtaking Colosseum. Envision the gory gladiatorial contests played out here before 50,000 spectators. Other choice sights include the Roman Forum, Constantine’s Triumphal Arch, the Spanish Steps and Trevi Fountain. Enjoy the rest of the afternoon at leisure and, this evening, enjoy a Farewell Dinner with your fellow travelers.
