Take a peek by boat at the sites of Thonburi, briefly the Siamese capital before the move across the river to Bangkok.
Depart to the River City pier and join the boat. Continue to the Chinese Shrine on the bank of the river near Wat Anongkharam. The shrine was established over 200 years ago during the Thonburi period. Then proceed to the site of the former residence of the Princess Mother which is now converted into a museum in her memory. Next stop is at Wat Santa Cruz. Now in its third incarnation in Italiante style this Catholic church was originally built as a simpler wooden structure by the Portuguese in 1770. Then stroll around the local village of Kudi Chin and a stop at local bakery - the area is known for its Portuguese influenced cake. Return to the boat and continue the journey to Wat Rakang for a unique triplex scripture hall aged over 200 years that once used to be the house of King Rama I when he was Chao Praya Chakri. Drop off at Phatravadee Theatre for lunch at the Supatra River House before returning to your accommodation.
