An early morning hotel pick up to begin your tour. Depart for Tiananmen Square, one of the largest squares in the world, with a photostop. Next visit the Temple of Confucius, where homage was paid to Confucius during the Yuan, Ming and Qing Dynasties. A short walk takes you to Lama Temple, a famous lamasery located in the northeastern part of old Beijing. It was once the living quarters for Qing Emperor Yongzheng when he was a prince. Enjoy the spectacle of a traditional Chinese tea ceremony before lunch at a local restaurant. The rest of the afternoon is spent at the Beijing Zoo, where you have the opportunity to see one of the national treasures, the adorable panda bears. You will be dropped off at your hotel in the late afternoon.
