Day : 4 Siem Reap - Hanoi - Lao Cai
Take a morning boat trip on the Tonle Sap, Cambodia’s unique ‘Great Lake.’ Visit Chong Khneas village, which supports a community of Khmer and Vietnamese inhabitants. The village consists of dwellings anchored to the lake bed, with a floating school, police station and shops. (Boat trips only from July – Dec due to lake water levels). After lunch, transfer to the airport for your flight to Hanoi. Enjoy dinner at a local restaurant before boarding your overnight train to Lao Cai.

Day : 5 Lao Cai - Sapa
Arrive into Lao Cai in the early morning. Breakfast at a local restaurant before departing for the Coc Ly market. This unique market is the gathering place for the local minorities such as the Flower Hmong, Black Zao, Phu La, Nung and Tay to buy and sell their wares. After visiting the market, travel downstream by boat along the Chay River, enjoying the scenic countryside. Visit the local Trung Do village of the Tay minority. Your river journey ends at Bao Nhai Bridge. Continue to Sapa by car. Enjoy dinner

Set out on a light trek this morning to discover Sapa’s lesser known areas. Visit Cat Cat village, nestled in the valley below Sapa and home to the H’mong hill tribe. Enjoy the breath-taking scenery of mountain rice terraces, waterfalls, and buffaloes working in the fields. Proceed to the spectacular 100meter high Thac Bac Waterfalls, enjoying the views of Mt. Fansipan, Vietnam’s highest mountain. After lunch, climb up to the steps of the Ham Rong Mountain for a panoramic view of Sapa town. Explore the small town on your own this evening.
